    • High potency (long duration)- Tetracaine, Bupivacaine, Ropivacaine, Dibucaine
  • Surface anaesthetic
    • Soluble- Insoluble, Cocaine, Lidocaine, Tetracaine, Proparacaine
    • Insoluble- Benzocaine,Butylamino- benzoate, Oxethazaine

1. Esters:

2. Amides:

1. Short-Acting:

3. Long-Acting:
