Fact-Checking Process
In pharmacy and medicine, a single wrong figure or mechanism can mislead a student. This page explains exactly how Pharmacy Freak verifies the facts in its content — from initial research through to expert review — so that what you study is correct and dependable. It works alongside our Editorial Policy, which covers our wider content standards.
What We Fact-Check
Fact-checking applies to the specific, verifiable claims in our material — the details students depend on most:
- Drug names, classes, and classifications
- Mechanisms of action and core concepts
- Numerical values, doses, and formulae
- MCQ answers and their rationales
- Exam patterns, syllabi, and exam-relevant facts
- Clinical and medical statements
Our Fact-Checking Process
Every piece of content moves through the same verification process before it reaches you.
Research from authoritative sources
Before anything is written, the topic is researched using established references — standard textbooks, pharmacopoeias, official exam syllabi, peer-reviewed journals, and recognised guidelines. We start from credible sources, not assumptions.
Verification of every factual claim
Key facts — drug data, mechanisms, doses and values, classifications, and the answers and rationales in our MCQs and mock tests — are checked against those sources for correctness before the content moves forward.
Expert review before publication
Content is then reviewed by qualified pharmacy or medical professionals, who confirm its accuracy and alignment with current standards. Clinical and medical topics are reviewed with input from appropriately qualified experts.
Cross-checking exam-relevant facts
For exam-focused material, facts and question patterns are checked against the official patterns and syllabi of the relevant examinations — such as GPAT, NIPER, and NCLEX — so practice reflects what students will actually face.
Ongoing review and updates
Fact-checking doesn’t end at publication. As guidelines, standards, and exam patterns change, we revisit and update our material so it stays accurate over time.
The Sources We Verify Against
Our facts are checked against established, authoritative references rather than unverified online information:
- Standard pharmacy and medical textbooks
- Recognised pharmacopoeias (such as the Indian Pharmacopoeia, USP and BP)
- Official examination patterns and syllabi (GPAT, NIPER, NCLEX and others)
- Peer-reviewed scientific and medical journals
- Official clinical and regulatory guidelines
When Sources Disagree
Medicine evolves — and so do we.
Pharmaceutical science is not static, and reputable sources can occasionally differ. Where that happens, we give precedence to the most authoritative and current source, and to the standard a given examination follows. When evidence or guidance changes, we update our content to match.
Found an Error?
No process is perfect. If you spot something that looks incorrect, please tell us at contact@pharmacyfreak.com. We review every report and promptly correct any verified error. For how this works, see our Corrections Policy.
