UV-Vis Peak Analyzer Tool – Instantly Detect λmax and Amax
Welcome to the UV-Vis Peak Analyzer – your go-to tool for analyzing UV-Visible spectroscopy data. This interactive web tool helps B. Pharm and pharmaceutical science students find the wavelength of maximum absorbance and its corresponding absorbance , quickly and accurately.
Whether you’re identifying a compound or estimating drug concentration, this tool makes spectral analysis fast, visual, and lab-ready.
Why This Tool Matters
UV-Vis spectroscopy is one of the most widely used techniques in pharmaceutical analysis. From quantifying active ingredients to monitoring purity, UV-Vis data is essential. But raw data can be hard to read—this tool makes it easy.
It calculates:
The exact peak wavelength
The corresponding absorbance at the peak
And presents an interactive graph to visualize your spectrum
Perfect for lab reports, assignments, or online learning.

📋 How to Use the UV-Vis Peak Analyzer
Step 1: Upload or Enter Your Data
You have two options:
A) Upload a CSV File (Recommended)
Open Excel or Google Sheets
Format your data with two columns:
Column 1: Wavelength (nm)
Column 2: Absorbance (AU)
Do not include headers
Save the file as
.csv
Click “Download Sample CSV” to see correct format
Use the “Choose File” button to upload
Your data will be instantly displayed in the input table
B) Enter Data Manually
Enter each Wavelength (in nm)
Enter the corresponding Absorbance (in AU)
Click “+ Add Data Point” to add more rows
Use × button to remove rows
Step 2: Analyze the Spectrum
Once all data is entered:
Click “Analyze Spectrum”
The tool will:
Calculate the peak values
Plot the graph
Highlight λ on the curve
Step 3: Review the Output
View the Interactive Graph
Zoom in, hover over points, see real-time values
λ is marked by a labeled vertical line
Check the Results Summary
λ: Wavelength at peak
A: Peak absorbance
Step 4: Export and Reset
Click “Export as PNG” to download a complete image
Great for attaching to lab assignments or presentations
