The National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS), an autonomous institution under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, is inviting applications for several positions on various extramural projects on a purely temporary basis. The details are as follows:
- Research Associate – I (Project: Identification and validation of Neoantigens in a syngenic mouse model of ovarian cancer)
- Essential Qualification: Ph.D/MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree or 3 years of research, teaching, and design and development experience after MVSc/M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech.
- Desirable Experience: Immunology, mouse handling, cell biology.
- Project Tenure: 2 years
- Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 47,000 + HRA
- Age Limit: Not more than 40 years
- Research Associate – I (Project: Characterization of Pseudogene-like CTs in Ovarian Cancer)
- Essential Qualification: Same as above
- Desirable Experience: Molecular biology, bioinformatics, RNA biology.
- Project Tenure: Until 23.01.2026
- Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 47,000 + HRA
- Age Limit: Not more than 40 years
- Project Associate – II (Project: Characterization of the effect of pathogenic Cltc variants in early development)
- Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine with 2 years of experience.
- Desirable Experience: Molecular biology, cell culture, fly genetics, CRISPR/Cas9, immunocytochemistry, microscopy.
- Project Tenure: Until 13.09.2025
- Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 28,000 + HRA
- Age Limit: Not more than 35 years
- Project Associate – II (Project: Understanding the role of specific serotonin receptor signaling in modulating the antigen-specific immunity to control tumor growth)
- Essential Qualification: Same as above
- Desirable Experience: Handling animals (mice), immunological assays, primary T cell isolation and culture, ELISA, flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, Western blots.
- Project Tenure: Until 10.09.2026
- Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 35,000 + HRA for NET/GATE qualified candidates; Rs. 28,000 + HRA for others
- Age Limit: Not more than 35 years
- Project Associate – I (Project: VAPB at membrane contact sites: ALS-FTD at the crossroads of ER stress, proteostasis, lipid homeostasis, and inflammation)
- Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine.
- Desirable Experience: Minimum one year of research experience in Animal Cell Culture, Molecular Biology, and/or Cell Biology.
- Project Tenure: Until 28/02/2029
- Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 31,000 + HRA for NET/GATE qualified candidates; Rs. 25,000 + HRA for others
- Age Limit: Not more than 35 years
- Project Assistant (Project: Delineation of the major brain G protein, G o mediated signaling pathway using C. elegans model system)
- Essential Qualification: B.Sc./3 years Diploma in Engineering & Technology.
- Desirable Experience: Strong background in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and prior experience in C. elegans genetics and cell biology.
- Project Tenure: Until 29/12/2024
- Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 20,000 + HRA
- Age Limit: Not more than 50 years
