1. What is the FPGEE?
The Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Examination (FPGEE) is administered by the NABP (National Association of Boards of Pharmacy). It is a critical step for foreign-trained pharmacists to obtain FPGEC Certification, which is a prerequisite for the NAPLEX and licensure in the United States.

2. Eligibility & Application
To sit for the FPGEE, you must first apply for FPGEC Certification. Requirements include:
- Education: A recognized pharmacy degree (BPharm, MPharm, or PharmD) from a non-US institution.
- Curriculum: Graduates after Jan 1, 2003, typically require a 5-year curriculum.
- Licensure: Proof of unrestricted registration/licensure in your home country.

5. After Passing the FPGEE
Once you pass the FPGEE and TOEFL iBT, you will receive your FPGEC Certificate. This allows you to:

- Complete the required internship hours (varies by state, typically 1500 hours).
- Apply for and pass the NAPLEX (North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination).
- Pass the MPJE (Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination) for your state.
- Obtain your Pharmacist License.
