2. Eligibility Requirements

To sit for the exam, you must have a current, unrestricted pharmacist license and meet ONE of the following pathways:

Pathway A (Residency)

  • ACPE-accredited PharmD
  • PGY-1 Residency AND
  • PGY-2 Residency in Compounded Sterile Preparations or related (ASHP-accredited)

Pathway B (Experience)

  • PharmD or BPharm degree
  • 4 Years of post-licensure practice experience.
  • Must include at least 50% of time spent in sterile compounding activities (cleanroom oversight, compounding, QA/QC).
