This role is part of an ICMR-funded project investigating the role of Inosine in mitigating decreased innate immunity response in ischemic stroke following chronic kidney disease.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research aligned with project objectives under the guidance of Principal Investigator Dr. Pallab Bhattacharya.
  • Execute experimental procedures including stroke surgery, neuroscience, and various molecular biology techniques.
  • Handle small animals, perform surgical procedures, and contribute to molecular mechanism elucidation.
  • Analyze data, interpret results, and contribute to publications in esteemed journals.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, or Pharmacology and Toxicology.
  • Minimum of 2 publications as a first author in reputable journals.
  • Preferably experienced in MCAo stroke surgery, neuroscience, and molecular biology techniques.
  • Proficient in statistical data analysis and interpretation.

Emoluments

  • Salary: Rs. 56,000/- + HRA (15,120/-) = Rs. 71,120/- per month initially.
  • Initial appointment for one year, extendable up to two years based on project duration and performance.
