What is the BCPPS? The BCPPS credential demonstrates advanced expertise in neonatal, infant, child, and adolescent pharmacotherapy, including dosing, PK/PD, disease management, nutrition, and pediatric emergency care.

2. Eligibility Requirements

To sit for the exam, you must have a current, unrestricted pharmacist license and meet ONE of the following pathways:

Pathway A (Residency)

  • PharmD Degree
  • Completion of PGY-1 Residency AND
  • PGY-2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency (ASHP-accredited)

Pathway B (Experience)

  • PharmD or BPharm degree
  • 4 Years of post-licensure practice experience.
  • At least 50% of time must be spent in pediatric activities (NICU, PICU, Amb Care, etc.).
