What is the BCCP? The BCCP credential validates advanced expertise in cardiology pharmacotherapy, covering acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions, device therapy, anticoagulation, and complex clinical practice.

2. Eligibility Requirements

To sit for the exam, you must have a current, unrestricted pharmacist license and meet ONE of the following pathways:

Pathway A (Residency)

  • PharmD Degree
  • Completion of PGY-1 Residency AND
  • PGY-2 Cardiology Residency (ASHP-accredited)

Pathway B (Experience)

  • PharmD or BPharm degree
  • 4 Years of post-licensure practice experience.
  • At least 50% of time must be spent in cardiology activities (CVICU, HF Clinic, Anticoagulation, etc.).
