The Clinical Development Services Agency (CDSA), a part of the BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), is seeking applications for the position of Field Assistant. This recruitment is for the project titled “Sepsis-related mortality in neonates in India: A multi-disciplinary, multi-institutional research program for context-specific solutions,” under various locations including University College of Medical Science, Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital, Safdarjung Hospital, Lady Hardinge Medical College, and National Institute of Immunology, all situated in New Delhi.
- Position: Field Assistant (1 Position)
- Consolidated Salary: Rs 24,800 per month
- Duration: 03 months (with possible extension)
- Age: 18-30 years
Job Profile
Collecting samples from study sites and transporting them to THSTI for bio-repository and analysis.
- Packing biological samples according to protocol/SOPs.
- Ensuring optimal storage conditions for samples at collection centers/packaging and dispatch.
- Communicating with clinical and lab personnel for sample transport, including night shifts.
- Night duty allowance will be paid as per Government of India rules.
Qualifications and Experience
- Standard 10 with 3 years experience in laboratory clinical research OR Standard 12 with 1-year experience in clinical fieldwork or laboratory clinical research OR Degree/Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) OR Degree/Diploma in clinical research.
- Desirable: Experience in clinical research fieldwork, communication with participants, home visits for data/sample collection, and sample transport.
Skills
- Basic knowledge and ability to conduct clinical lab-related monitoring.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in the local language and basic English.
- Ability to read and write multiple local languages preferred.
- Negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Effective time management and field-based activity management.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the team.
